First Chapter

first chapter

I have the last chapter almost written (see last chapter). However, the first has been a huge problem.
First, because I have to change the first book - other wise some things wouldn't make sense. It still ends like it does, but there are details that I have to change.
Second, I know how the second book ends (like you also do - even though you miss several details), but there are several ways to end there. And those thousands ways will define if I write a third book or not. Honestly, I don't want to, but a triology sounds better, doesn't?
I do have an idea for a third book, but it wont change the story itself. It's just a compilation of gifted persons found by Alma and her mother, Sorscha.
Third, I am scared.
Yap. That's truth. I'am scared to start the story. I know that when I start I will write to the end. And I don't want this story to end.
So, for now I have to decide if there will be a third book... (The fear I will face it)
Ok, maybe I will have story for one more, after all I can't finish it with the death of my favourite character, or could I? (so dramatic...)
I feel like God, it's in my hands.

Now, finally, a brief scene from the first chapter:

Silence.
They couldn't move, frozen by what happened and what was still happening. But they couldn't move.
Their hands were on the tree. They could feel the energy of the sacrifice pulsing under their hands. The same energy throbbing in their veins.
They couldn't turn around.
They weren't ready to see the young body on the cold pavement.
The last words (-) pronounced ecoed in their minds. The minds that were now connected.
"Leo", Diana said with saying a word.
She knew. Leonor knew she must be the one turning around first.
"We do it together", ecoed Alma right away.
They didn't need to count down. They just knew when to face their back. And - as if it was coreographed - they put their hands down and turned around.
It was impossible to ignore what was in front of them. That was a body of a (-). It was just a corpse. Without a soul. Without life. It look like all (-) life was drawn from (-) body. The same life that now was pulsing in their veins and also in the tree now behind them. A way to split what (-) thought was dangerous. What the trio felt was a curse, but also a gift.
It was up to them to use it.

Yes, it's true, the first book also ends with a death. A huge one. That will change everything in the story. So, maybe, the last chapter that I wrote will be the final of that book, but not the end of the journey of Alma, Leono and Diana. Cross fingers! (I will try not to finish the third book with a dead character).
