The Mansion - Concept

You read the sketchs that I have created about The Mansion... And you realized that it's always about kids. Kids that some how are losing - or have lost - their childhood. 

The stories of the kids of the mansion are never good. They always come from bad backgrounds. That's why they are in the mansion.

The mansion is - well, imagine that - a mansion where children are protected. It's different from ordinary shelters. 

The basics: kids are protected from those who hurt them. Besides that, they also have to deal with their trauma, trying to live "a normal" life with their past. 

Let's face it, most kids that were traumatized aren't help how they should. 

It was always something that I wanted to study and understand better, writing about it, opens a door that most people want to keep shut. 

How would be Alex as an adult? Will she considerer herself normal? 

And Derek, the boy from yesterday's sketch? Would he accept himself? Will he be able to trust again? Will he kill himself? 

On the news we see all these bad things that happen to kids. You also see the disgusting adults that hurt them. But what is behind it? How adults turn who they are? Maybe Alex and Derek will be "fixed" - not my terms guys... -, but what about those that aren't?

The Mansion will be about kids that suffer some sort of trauma and their struggle to live and sometimes do the most simple things...

 Don't you forget: that are different levels of trauma. 

In this triology of books trauma is always the main subject. Different stories, different places, but always with Alex. Of course it will be more books, with other characters, Derek will be one, even though his story is on The Mansion.
