Sketch #7

Three months ago, she was starting in the new school. No friends, and she didn't want to make any. But in that first day she met Leonor. They weren't friends suddently, but they were together. Two strangers in a new city, a new school. A week later, Diana join the group. Of course it took longer than Leo and Alma to become friends, but, somehow, they did. Now she couldn't imagine her life without the two.
They were so different, and she didn't even care. It was like they were a trio, each one had a piece that made a whole. Well, what they had to do wasn't amazing, and they didn't figure out yet what they wanted to do, but still, they couldn't stay like three months ago. So much had pass.
They were now at a new kingdom, Sednem, and Diana and Alma were imagining some place full of snow. Well... where was the snow?
Rhys told them that the snow would come in a month or so. She was so excited!
Now Diana had a house there, a house that they could use when they visit her. Alma knew that she was protected there. Ana was with her and she would face everyone only to protect Diana.
Leo and Alma would travel to there as much as they could and together would face the future.
Now they only had to worry about moving out and know one more kingdom. And this one was the one Alma was waiting for. The kingdom where she could learn more about her own gift. Maybe with Rhys.
She hadn't seen any Ba yet, but she knew that she would.
Theo told her that seeing Ba was something very special. So far, she was only watching different things about people. First it was Leo, in the bathroom when she teletransport. Before her body appear an ocean blue light showed up. In the beginning was very light, but then, it became more corpories. And finally transform in Leo's body.
Of course back then she didn't know that that was her gift, seeing Ba. Now she believe it, hundred percent.
Watching blue things on people wasn't the only thing, but the feeling she has about the purety of what she sees it's impressive. Is that feeling that made her gift greater.
That was why she was becoming a Seeker. Just like her mother, Sorcha.
That was another reason to be in Sednem. Not only to see where Diana was going, but also to know more about her own gift.
"Hey, Alma, are you going to help us? Or are you going to stay there looking at nowhere?", Leo asked with two bags in her hands and another in her back.
"Can't you teletransport things?", Alma said with a smile.
"Very funny. Are you going looking for things after I try to do it?"
Leo was really pissed. And it was kinda cute.
"I help. Where's Diana?"
"In her bedroom, trying to figure out how to put everything in place. And she can't lift weights."
"She is using that excuse"
"Well, she is right, so... help me"
The house wasn't that big. Not as big as Diana previous place. At least, in there she could be herself, without pretending.
Alma saw Leonor going to the other floor.
"Her bedroom is in the second floor? Really?"
Leonor just ignored her going upstairs.
"Of course it is!"
"Alma, there is more in the car", Ana told her.
"Of course there is..."
She crossed the kitchen and in a few steps she was in the street. Gosh, that still surprised her.
Ordinary people were crossing the street, each one in different directions, different destinies. And still, all of them gifted.
She was blind all her life. Now, embrassing her gift she could finally see.
It wasn't the ocean blue light around people that inform her that, but how it had life; how it pulse in the bodies. Some involved people, other pulse only in one part of the body - hand, head, eyes, feet -, and others like a shield - just like her father.
The color was almost the same in every body, but here and then there was some dark Ba. Were they evil? Part of William group?
"What are you seeing?", Rhys asked behind her close to the door.
"Why are they darker?"
"You see them?"
"You don't?"
"Not yet", he said.
"Why not yet?"
He was surprised. Should he answer...?
"They are going to die", he said.
"Because they are evil?" Maybe if they were anything would be lost.
"No. They are not using their gift. They are wasting it. And some of them know"
"Why don't they do anything?"
Alma looked at him. Her blue eyes asked for truth.
"Sometimes it's hard to deal with our gifts. Sometimes are the choices we make to destroy what we love"
"Some of them were smiling", she remembered.
"It's easier that way"
It was. Diana was doing the same, staying at Aleinad. But Alma never saw her gift going dark.
Honestly, Alma would never figure out Diana gift if she didn't told them. And yes, she was always smiling. Faking. Acting. Exactly the same as her parents were doing.
Her gift didn't die. She didn't die.
"Can we help them?", Alma watch them again.
"We can't save them all"
She knew it. But she could try.
