Alex Parents

I have been thinking about families. 

I am working for amazing people and I was questining "how can everything go wrong?"

Watching them, I know they are happy; the couple is still in love; and they are funny.

So, how could everything go wrong?

Alex (from The Mansion) didn't have any luck - like so many people. 

When she was born, her parents already hate her. She never understood why, until the day...

But before that day: how is it in the present?

Not good as you can imagine. 

Alex is sixteen. She already quit school. First, because she wasn't good at it. Second, without school, she had more time to work and earn money. She was sleeping in the classes and failing almost every subjects. So, not being at school wouldn't make a difference in her perspective. 

Her parents perspective is that Alex fails on everything: school, job, family. In their perspective, Alex should do more at home, besides cleanning and cooking, she should be doing so much more. It's because of her that they live poor, because she can't save money to the family. 

Yes, she is the only one earning money in that house. But why would their arguments be good? It's always easier put your problems on others. It's never their fault. 
How did they become like that?
When they were young, they didn't had the perfect life, but they were happy. 
Alex's mother, Matilde, was only child, and during her youth she was very curious, so she found sex to be how she would challenge her parents, to be free. And sex was a good experience to her and she was always careful to not get pregnant. She wasn't stupid. She was actually very smart. Because she liked to live on the edge, she tried drugs. Life was a party for some months. And then she met a guy, his name was Sebastião. Their relationship developed rapidly and when they know, Matilde was pregnant. Pregnant of Alexandra.
However, they didn't stay together, and they broke up. It wasn't something that Matilde wanted... but they didn't love each other. 
The relationship between the two were confused for a long time, it still is. But Matilde Stayed with Alex, even though Sebastião wanted his child. 
And that was the beginning. That's what Alex will find out. 
The rest, what made her mother the person she is in the present life, she will find that out later. (I know bits of it, but The Mansion is not the story that I am working on now - and yes, I needed to write this down)

In the present, Alex finds a box full of things of her real father, and not the dumb that is living with them. However, it's to late, she believes, to reconnect. Now she has to protect her siblings - that don't have the same dad as her - from her parents. That's the only thing she can think of... 
Or is it? (I love to end the posts with that question. So annoying!)
